On the auspicious occasion of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday on July 6, 2025, Nyingje Foundation is organizing a global online fundraising campaign to rescue 1,130 animals from slaughter. This heartfelt offering is dedicated to His Holiness’s long life and honors his lifelong message of compassion and nonviolence toward all sentient beings.
Nyingje Foundation is a registered Section 8 nonprofit organization in India, operational since 2021. We are committed to rescuing animals—primarily goats, sheep, and yaks—from slaughterhouses and offering them lifelong care. To date, we have successfully rescued over 3,000 animals, many of them during previous birthday celebrations of His Holiness.
Each rescued animal receives loving care, including fodder, medical treatment, shelter, and the support of a dedicated team of paid shepherds.
As of today, 90 animals have already been rescued toward this goal. With the continued support of Tibetan communities worldwide, we aim to reach 1,130 rescues—a powerful spiritual offering for His Holiness’s health and longevity.
